Collin reached out to me about 2ish months ago wanting to plan the perfect engagement session for Mariah. The plan was he was going to Mariah at Trulucks at Hughes Landing in the Woodlands. He gave me a heads up that he was pretty sure she was going to be super emotional, which of course she was, how could she not be?!
I personally loved the fact that this was the location because back in May when I came to Houston to apartment shop, I went to dinner right next door to Trulucks so it’s come full circle!
Collin rented out a room facing the lake out back. All the details were so sweet! They had cakes and candy bars with their names on it and phrases like “she said yes!” They had a slideshow cute pictures of them playing.
Pro tip if you’re planning an engagement. Share your location with your photographer! They were off to a little bit of a late start and I was able to track exactly how far away they were. When they got closer I was able to see what direction they were coming from and everything. I could tell when they were right around the corner and made sure everyone was hiding. It helped make sure that I didn’t miss anything!
Mariah and Collin walked around the back of the restaurant and she was already crying. Then when Collin went down on his knee everyone came out onto the back patio to cheer them on! It was such a sweet day full of celebration. I was so honored to be trusted to capture such a cherished moment that kicks off the rest of their lives together!
