Honeymoon | Christina + Dakota

I was traveling to Italy to photograph a wedding and decided to put my travel schedule on my personal instagram just in case someone wanted to meet up at one of the spots I was traveling. I honestly felt self conscious about it because I didn’t want it to come off as braggy. But then one of my oldest friends that I went to kindergarten with reached out ot me and said she would be in Rome at the same time as me! Omg I was THRILLED. When will I ever get a chance to do a couples session in Rome, Italy again?

The day before the session I wandered around the area and scouted some spots. It wasn’t hard given I was only a 10 min walk from the Colosseum. I had Christina and Dakota meet me at my airbnb and we just slowly made our way to the Colosseum from there! We started nice and early at 8AM which was great, the temperature was great and there were much fewer people out. 

We stopped by all my spots that I had found and then made our way to the colosseum. My heart skipped a beat when I realized that we were at the perfect angle for the sun to be shining through the colosseum behind them. These are honestly some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken!!

After I picked my jaw up off the floor from the magic we made, we started making our way back to my airbnb. We grabbed a coffee and sat along some steps and just hung out. 

This session was a once in a lifetime experience and I will never ever feel awkward about posting my travel schedule again! It leads to MAGIC!
