When you think of a Valentines day wedding, your mind might go straight to cheesy décor, too many hearts, and way too much red. But Kate and Graham’s wedding at The Homestead in Texas proved that you can embrace the theme and keep things elegant. From the moment I walked into their wedding day, I knew I was photographing something special. Everything, from the florals to the custom paper goods, was elevated and cohesive.
Color Theory Can Make or Break a Gallery
Let’s talk about color theory for a sec. One of the most underrated parts of wedding planning is how colors affect the final gallery. Kate and Graham’s palette was bold, but it was incredibly well thought out. Rather than clashing or competing, the tones complemented each other. Giving the entire gallery a polished, editorial vibe.
Each detail had intention behind it. So yes, their Valentines day wedding was full of color, but it never felt chaotic. Instead, it felt like every piece had a place.
Heartfelt Details That Made Their Valentines Day Wedding Special
Kate’s veil might have been my favorite part of the day. She used her mom’s veil as the base, then added delicate hearts to make it her own. It was a sweet nod to tradition while still being uniquely hers. Even though the theme could’ve easily leaned too far into cliché, the entire wedding stayed elevated and timeless thanks to their incredible team of wedding planners and designers.
