Planning a destination wedding is truly a dream come true, but let’s face it—sometimes not everyone can make the trek! Sophie and Alex knew they wanted to celebrate with all their loved ones, so they found the perfect solution by hosting a New Orleans “wedding” and making it a pre-wedding gathering for the guests who couldn’t make it to their Hawaii ceremony. This thoughtful gesture allowed them to share the joy of their big day with even more people, no matter where they were. For this special celebration, they chose two of the city’s most stylish and unique locations, blending effortless charm and sophistication. The iconic Hotel Saint Vincent, with its classic yet modern design, provided the perfect backdrop for the first part of their gathering, while The Bower—known for its lush garden setting and cool vibes—offered a relaxed and intimate spot to continue the celebration. The combination of these two spots gave their gathering a chic, laid-back feel that perfectly matched their personalities, allowing everyone to feel included in a celebration that was uniquely theirs.
A Vibrant Couples Session at Hotel Saint Vincent
We kicked off the day at Hotel Saint Vincent, a boutique hotel that is filled with so much personality! Filled with bold colors, vintage-inspired decor, and lush courtyards – it was the perfect backdrop for Sophie & Alex’s couple session. Fun fact: this is where the Queer Eye cast stayed during their NOLA season! Every corner of the hotel offers unique opportunities. From its grand staircases to its pal-filled patio spaces. S + A embraced the hotel’s vibrant energy, and we captured photos that felt super dynamic and stylish.
Dinner and Dancing at The Bower From A New Orleans Wedding Session
After our photo walk through the Hotel Saint Vincent, we strolled a few blocks to The Bower. This is where Sophie and Alex hosted an intimate dinner celebration. The evening was filled with heartfelt moments. It included a shabbat service to honor the day and a stunning seating chart arrangement adorned with fresh greenery. The cozy ambiance of The Bower was the perfect setting for their pre-wedding dinner. And of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without a sweet NOLA touch—beignets for dessert!
